Woody Guthrie Publications in collaboration with The Woody Guthrie Archives are presently working on a pocket-sized guidebook, which will take locals and tourists alike on a tour of 19 places throughout New York City where Woody Guthrie lived, worked, and played.
My Name Is New York: Ramblin’ Around Woody Guthrie’s Town, will be released in July 2012, as part of the year-long celebrations commemorating Woody Guthrie’s centennial. This book includes over 75 original items from the Archival collection, such as never before published photographs, lyrics, and artwork by Woody Guthrie, documenting the 27 years he spent in New York City.
