Phil’s Friends Will Perform Tonight

Several recent Phil Lesh collaborators will play a free show this evening. The performance will take place at New York’s Rodeo Bar, while Lesh performs a little north of the city at Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre. At Rodeo Bar, Ryan Adams & the Cardinal’s pedal steel ace Jon Graboff, bass guitarist Mike Santoro and Ollabelle drummer Tony Leone will all perform with the Demolition String Band.

Burning the Future: Coal In America

A powerful documentary about mountain top removal from filmmaker David Novak that focuses on the efforts of a group of citizens turned activists. Demolition String Band music is in the film and we’ve appeared at events to raise awareness understanding about the devastation caused by this process and we were proud to be featured performers at the Appalachia Rising: Mountaintop Removal Abolition Mass Mobilization in Washington, DC.
